Jim moved to Missoula in 1970 from Frostbite Falls, Minnesota to attend the University of Montana on a football scholarship. He majored in Business Finance. After college, Jim started a concrete construction company and operated it until the start of his real estate career in 1979. Jim is active in the Sons of Norway, and likes to golf and fish in his rare spare time.
